Reception and Fashion Art Workshop with Tosa Twoheart, Watermark exhibiting artist

A reception will be held for Tosa Twoheart Saturday, March 2 from 2 – 4pm at Watermark Art Center. Her graphic design and garment exhibit, “Wobliheca – Energy to Create” is on display now in the Miikanan Gallery at Watermark. Twoheart’s aesthetics are a composition of Lakota Geometric patterns with a futuristic view. Her one-of-a-kind designs are striking and bold, yet simple and clean for “every day” people.

Saturdays in March, Twoheart, Ogalala Lakota, will teach a four-part workshop on the basics of fashion design for adults, ages 15 and up. Beginning students will be introduced to garment design and approaches to creating a collection using online tools. Personalized finished designs will be uploaded and applied to customized garments. In addition, tips and tricks of photoshoots will be covered. Prospective students are encouraged to attend the reception on March 2.

Classes are taught online via ZOOM Saturdays March 9, 16, 23 and 30 from 1 to 3pm. Register online, $40 for entire series. Scholarships are available. More information at WatermarkArtCenter.org.
