This pedestal style basket is one of my personal favorites to make! We’ll supply all the tools and materials you need, including the antler. I have the full rainbow of accent colors available, or keep things natural!
Sample basket is 8” across, 6”deep, and 8” high.
Due to the amount of drilling required for this basket, they will need to be drilled in advance. I’ll take care of all of that before class.

*Participants have the option to make an appointment to drill their antler (one of your own that has been cleaned of all debris, blood, and hair, or one provided by us) the week before class. This will be on-on-one and take less than an hour. Please note in your registration or email ShannonWestrum@gmail.com.

Basketmaking requires finger and hand dexterity, bring your glasses or readers.
Class is on Saturday, October 26th at our home studio in Bemidji. Registration closes on 10/20/24. (I need to take my parents to Rochester that week and have to prep the antlers first.)

This basket is scheduled for 10am-4pm, depending on the size you want your basket to be, it will take around 4-6 hrs of weaving time. We’ll break for lunch to allow all participants to pick up food or you may eat in the studio. Water, coffee/tea will be provided.
