The water temps have cooled back into the mid 70’s and with that the Walleye fishing has picked up a bit. Still have to work a bit for them but if you have some patience you should boat some fish.
Jigs and minnows/crawlers/and leeches are still working, but pulling spinners has produced better. Look to those sharp breaks and deep weed edges for the best concentration of fish. Lake Bemidji has a good night time crankbait trolling bite going. Bigger Pike are also relating to those deep weedlines. Bass fishing remains excellent using plastics on the deep weed edges. Crappies and Bluegills are in and around the deep cabbage using small jigs and plastics. The Muskie bite is heating up on Bemidji, Plantagenet, and Big lake throwing bucktails over the cabbage beds.
Have a great day on the water and please remember to practice selective harvesting, by doing so we will continue to have great fishing for years to come!
