There continues to be more fish houses popping up out on Lake Bemidji. Most folks are staying close to a few of the plowed roads on the lake. If you have a 4-wheel drive you can get off the plowed roads but there are pockets of slush. Wednesday we had about a inch of snow but very high winds and that has made getting off the roads very tough.
There is a short window in the morning and later in the day for catching some walleyes but the perch come and go for most of the day. Look to Lake Plantagenet for some perch and Gull and Andrusia are kicking out some panfish. Have a fun day on the ice, take your trash and dispose of it properly, and please remember to practice selective harvesting, by doing so we will continue to have great fishing for years to come!
