My how things have changed in the last week! There are some plowed roads on the south end and one plowed road on the north end of Lake Bemidji and wheelhouses are popping up especially on the south end. If you don’t venture to far off the plowed roads you should be ok, but getting off them you could run into slush.
Perch are going throughout the day on jigging spoons and minnow heads and also wax worms. A few walleyes are coming early in the day and then again late afternoon/evening. Lake Irving is also kicking out some perch and a few walleyes. Lake Plantagenet is producing perch in the NW area of the lake. There are no roads going out but snowmobiles are now a option. Wolf Lake and Lake Andrusia are kicking out some crappies especially late afternoon/evening.
Have a fun, safe time on the ice and please remember to practice selective harvesting, by doing so we will continue to have great fishing for years to come. And please take your trash with you off the ice and dispose of it properly!
