The Sanford Center and Sanford Health Women’s are proud to present the 1st Annual “Northern Minnesota’s Largest Women’s EXPO”. Get ready to Relax and be Pampered while being Inspired and Empowered! The Expo welcomes author of The New Midwestern Table cookbook and the memoir Give a Girl a Knife, Amy Thielen! Amy will be signing autographs from 1:00-2:30 and have her two books on display for purchase.
U.S. Olympian and Minnesota hockey legend Gigi Marvin will also take part in the Women’s Expo. A member of the U.S. Olympic Women’s Hockey Team, Marvin scored the first goal in the shootout against Team Canada in the gold medal game at the 2018 Winter Olympics. Marvin will be available for photos and autographs from 10:00-11:15 a.m.

Join us for the Annual Leech Lake Veterans Memorial Pow Wow on May 25-27, 2018 at the Veterans Memorial Grounds. Native dancers and drum groups from throughout the Upper Midwest, northern Great Plains and Canada will be at the Leech Lake Veterans Memorial Pow Wow to celebrate. Events start each day with flag-raising at 10:00 a.m. Grand entry of dancers is 7:00 p.m. Friday, 1:00 and 7:00 p.m. Saturday, and 1:00 p.m. Sunday.
