Food, games, rides, parades, music, and fireworks –the Jaycee’s Water Carnival has it all!  Some of the highlights are the Medallion Hunt that starts on July 1. The Warrior March: a 5K march on July 4th to raise awareness of the struggles that our veterans face. The Double Your Fun Color Run on July 5. Family Fun Day and the return of the Water Carnival Craft Show on July 6. The Bald Eagle Waterski Show, Cornhole Competition, Corn Feed and 3 performances by The Timberworks Lumberjack show on July 7!

Since 1967, this juried fine arts and craft fair has been the summer highlight for all lovers of arts and crafts, as well as anyone looking to find some unique early Christmas Gifts! The scenic location of Art in the Park, on the shores of Lake Bemidji in the beautiful, tree lined Library Park, is the perfect spot to showcase the talents of nearly 100 artisan vendors from across the country. Every kind of talent will be on display with items for sale– from wood and ceramics to clothing and jewelry, photography to metalworking, greeting cards, homemade preserves, food, candles, soaps, and more! Food vendors and live music add to this unique celebration of arts!

When Ren and his mom move from Chicago to a small farming town in the South, Ren experiences culture shock up close and personal. First he finds himself at odds with most of the town, but especially Reverend Bomont who has convinced the town to ban dancing. The Prom just won’t be the same, so with the help of Ariel (the Reverend’s daughter) and Wieland, the three concoct a plan to convince the town to let the teenagers dance.
