FEED THE BIRDS DAY

Help the wild birds in your backyard to survive the long, cold winter by feeding them. By mid winter, food sources become scarcer and scarcer for the wild birds that over-winter in your backyard. What little food that is available, can get buried under deep snow. The bird feeder that you place in your backyard, full of seeds (which are the best source of high energy food for wild birds), may be entertaining to you as a bird watcher. It is also vital to the survival of birds in harsh winters.

RANDOM ACTS OF KINDNESS DAY

Today is the day nationally recognized to be kind to others. A lot of people think a random act of kindness involves spending money. While you can buy someone’s coffee for them or pay for the person behinds meal, you don’t have to spend money today. Help someone carry something to their desk or car. Hold the door open for someone and tell them to have a great day. Say something kind to EVERYONE you have the opportunity to. Be happy. Be kind.
