Annual First City of Lights Parade – a family holiday tradition. Parade Route follows Beltrami Ave from 8th St to 3rd St, turning west on 3rd St to Irvine Ave. After the parade, head to the waterfront by Paul & Babe for the “flip of the switch” to light the trees, signaling that the holiday season has begun in Bemidji. Coffee, cider and treats while the Night We Light Parade goes by Paul Bunyan Playhouse.

THE BOG CHANGES

Let’s visit the bog in the “off season”–a chance to see how this special part of the park is changing as winter comes on. Come prepared for the weather–this could turn out to be a walk, ski, or snowshoe! Meet at the park office. Check back for more details, or for more Information, call 218-308-2300.

Just announced for the third time the “Wojo’s Rodeo Circuit Finals” presented by Enbridge, will be coming to the Sanford Center Arena on Friday November 24th starts at 8:00pm (Doors at 7pm) and Saturday November 25th at 6:30 pm, (doors open at 5:30pm). This will be an action packed rodeo you don’t want to miss. Cowboys and Cowgirls from Northern Minnesota will be competing in 11 events including: Bull Riding, Jr Bull Riding, Barrel Racing, Jr. Barrel Racing, Bareback, Saddle Bronc, Team Roping, Calf Roping, Breakaway Roping, Steer Wrestling, and Mini Bronc Riding (new). Qualified contestants will be competing for prize money, buckles, and point awards.
Wojo’s Rodeo is owned and operated by Keith and Dana Wojo of Greenbush, MN. Keith and Dana have been hosting rodeos for over ten years in Northern Minnesota; they also own and operate Wojo’s Horse Training. Wojo’s Rodeo strives to promote the sport of rodeo in a family friendly environment where ages of all competitors male and female can compete. This year, after the event Saturday night the “Official After Party” will be held at the Bemidji Eagles Club.
