Watermark Art Center Reception and Artist Talk – Joan G. Cox

Watermark Art Center invites the public to the opening and reception for “The Peace of Wild Things” –with artist Joan Cox. The reception will be held on June 5 from 5pm to 7pm with an artist talk at 5:30pm. The exhibit will be on display in Watermark’s Kaul Gallery June 5 through August 21.

“The Peace of Wild Things” features lush abstract landscape paintings that “spring from the natural world, remembered and imagined, each eliciting a sense of place and the essence of an experience.”

Joan’s work reminds us that the hum of the natural world is a potent remedy that can calm,heal and nourish us, an important reminder of our place in this life.

There is no charge for this event. Watermark Art Center is a non-profit, member-supported organization dedicated to encouraging the growth and development of art in Bemidji and the surrounding communities. The center is accessible, with no admission fee and open to the public Monday through Saturday from 10 to 5pm.
