About
Join the BSO at Waldsee, Concordia’s German Language Village, for a Hauskonzert: Symphony for the Senses. Symphony for the Senses Hauskonzert pairs a live performance with a menu of traditional German dishes inspired by the foods Mozart, Beethoven, and their contemporaries once enjoyed. Join us for a night of music, culture, and cuisine designed to delight the senses. Performance by Sarah Carlson and David Aquilera Menu: 1st course: Cream of White Asparagus Soup; A velvety “Spargelsuppe” celebrated in 19th-century Vienna, finished with a drizzle of olive oil and toasted hazelnuts. Main course: Herb-Roasted “Symphony” Chicken Tender chicken thighs roasted with rosemary, sage, and thyme (Beethoven’s preferred herbs), served alongside his beloved macaroni tossed in brown butter and aged Parmigiano and a medley of vegetables. Dessert: Early Spring Rhubarb Galette as a tribute to Mozart’s love of sweets, served with “60 Bean” coffee, honoring Beethoven’s ritual of counting exactly 60 coffee beans for his cup of coffee.
