Itasca’s 12th Annual Autumn Harvest Festival & Lantern Lit Hike

Come out to Itasca State Park for our 12th Annual Autumn Harvest and Lantern Lit Hike. This year’s hike theme is “Legends and Lore of the Northwoods.”
Guides with lanterns will lead you down the kerosene lantern-lit trail to meet characters that will explore legends of familiar characters such as Paul Bunyan and Babe, the loon, mosquito and more. This is a family-friendly evening hike.
Group hikes, approximately one-half mile long, will last about 30 minutes, departing every ten minutes.
Registration begins at 6 p.m., and fills up fast so make sure you register early, at the Jacob V. Brower Visitor Center. The first hike leaves at 6:30 p.m. and the last hike will begin at 8:10 p.m.
Suitable for all ages! Children must be accompanied by an adult. Other activities will be ongoing, including music and a variety of children’s activities.
Notes: Dress for being outdoors in autumn. You are welcome to bring a flashlight during the hike, but are asked to keep it pointed at the ground.
