About

Harmony will be celebrating National Native American Heritage Month by providing an Ojibwe Language event for Co-op Explorers on Saturday, November 11th, 2023. This event is a FREE event and will go from 10:30am-Noon. Join us! Crafts and a snack will be provided.

We will also be learning about the Ojibwe language through a scavenger hunt and activity sheets! As a snack, we will be enjoying a sweet treat: Seasonal Salad with Manoomin (wild rice)! This will be a fun “build your own” style treat with toppings and drizzles!

Harmony Co-op recognizes that Bemidji sits within Ojibwe territory and is working to support Indigenous nations, communities, and cultures in meaningful ways beyond signage. Because November is National Native American Heritage Month, Harmony is highlighting the importance that Indigenous peoples continue to play within our business and the larger Bemidji community. One of the ways Harmony is recognizing National Native American Heritage Month is by incorporating fun Ojibwe language learning activities and snacks into our monthly Harmony Co+op Explorers event.

Harmony Co-op Explorers is a free children’s program for children ages 12 and younger. In order for us to better plan our events, we are asking that parents RSVP for every Harmony Co+op Explorers event they plan to attend. This will ensure that we have enough supplies for every child who attends.
