Come see “Giiwe,” an exhibition of paintings by Carrie Katzenmeyer, from September 9 to October 24 in the Talley Gallery. There will be a closing reception and artist’s talk on October 24 from 2:00 – 4:00 pm, with refreshments.
Carrie Katzenmeyer’s paintings perfectly combine the artistic styles of her heritage, being both Anishinaabe and Scandinavian. She currently lives in Marine on Saint Croix, Minnesota with her family and rescue dog. She is an enrolled member of the White Earth Nation and graduated with a B.A. in Art from the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities.
