From the exceptional viewing area, energizing races, extraordinary team villages, excellent kids activities and evening entertainment, the 12th Annual Lake Bemidji Dragon Boat Festival has something exciting for the whole family!

Currently the fastest growing water sport in the nation, Dragon Boat racing is fun, fast-paced and engaging for spectators! Festival activities include great food, music, kid’s activities, a parade of teams, cultural performances, camaraderie and much more all along the shores of beautiful Lake Bemidji!

6:30 p.m. 7th Annual Cornhole Tournament in the Dragon’s Den.
Corn Toss, Bean Bag Toss, Soft Horseshoes, Indiana Horseshoes, or CORNHOLE …whatever you call it, it all comes down to which team is able to outscore their opponent and reach 21 points! Just like the Dragon Boat Races, no previous experience is required, and all the equipment you need is provided! A unique trophy is awarded to the winning team. Come watch some of the best Cornhole teams around as they battle it out for bragging rights!

Corey Medina is a Native American Blues Artist from Shiprock, NM. Corey released his debut album “Old Dog Crying” in May of 2015. Currently the Brothers band consists of two Bemidji natives, Eric Sundeen on drums and Gary Broste on upright bass.

Register online by July 21th and get a tshirt. Award medals are given to the top finishers.

The Lost River Band plays music ranging from country to Celtic, folk to soft/modern rock, all done in that special Lost River way. Vocalist Kari Grace joins Jay Forney on guitar and Jeff Anderson on accordion for a sound that will send you home smiling and singing! Click for more info.

First Friday Art Walk
August 4th, 5:30 PM

A festive self-guided walking tour featuring an average of 8 artist receptions each month throughout downtown Bemidji’s restaurants, libraries, schools, and businesses. Attend art openings, visit with artists, and listen to artist talks, live music, readings, or demonstrations. Watermark Art Center is the anchor exhibitor of the First Friday Art Walk.
