The scenic location of Art in the Park, on the shores of Lake Bemidji in the beautiful, tree lined Library Park, is the perfect spot to showcase the talents of nearly 100 artisan vendors from across the country. Every kind of talent will be on display with items for sale– from wood and ceramics to clothing and jewelry, photography to metalworking, greeting cards, homemade preserves, food, candles, soaps, and more! Library Park is located right downtown, just north of the famous statues of Paul Bunyan and Babe the Blue Ox at the Tourist Information Center. Within These Woods: Living Up North

You will enjoy this new multimedia presentation that dives deep into these woods. Starting with the wood anemone, beaver, or maybe the chickadee, local author and BSU Professor Tim Goodwin weaves a narrative that blends biology, ecology, and cultures across the world into an understanding of the human relationship with the North Woods. For this presentation, Goodwin adds original music to the story and illustrations featured in his recent book, “Within These Woods,” published by Riverfeet Press of Bemidji, Minn., specializing in nature-based fiction and non-fiction titles. Birchmont Golf Tournament
July 24 – July 29
At Town & Country Golf Course
on Lake Bemidji
The 93rd Annual Birchmont promises to provide another year of exciting competition for amateur golfers. Participants from more than 17 states will compete in this year’s tournament, held Monday-Saturday, July 24 – 29, 2017. Typically over 300 players compete, and all are guaranteed a minimum of three of rounds of golf.
Known for its idyllic setting overlooking Lake Bemidji, the Birchmont Tourney has been home to some well-known golf names, including Tom Lehman (PGA) and Bill Israelson (Senior PGA). Birchmont’s 2015 winner Curt Howard will be returning to championship play this year, too.
Match Play Brackets include:
Men’s Executive Division-30 yrs and older
Senior Men’s Division-50 yrs & older
Masters Division-65 & over
Junior Division (Ages 13-17)
Junior Division (Ages 10-12)
