Shopping around Bemidji has its own allure, too. There are national stores, including Target, Wal Mart, Home Depot, antique shops, factory outlets, specialty craft and gift shops and art galleries all awaiting your visit to provide a little extra excitement

Shopping Has Some Special Attractions
Bemidji hosts a collection of shops with a special charm you won't find anywhere else. Bemidji Woolen Mills, an area landmark since 1921, is a unique factory outlet store selling quality woolen garments, yarn and comforters.  Emily’s Country Cottage has gifts and collectibles, along with quilting supplies. Be sure to visit the Baby Corner and the Christmas Room.  McKenzies Place carries gifts from around the world, gourmet coffees and snacks, Red Hat Society items and a host of other northwoods gift items.

Morell’s Chippewa Trading Post in downtown Bemidji, offers distinctive Indian handicrafts and souvenirs. The  Lumberjack Shack near the Tourist Information Center provides souvenirs and many other gift and Minnesota items. Snow Goose Gifts, also downtown Bemidji, carries a fine line of northwoods gifts and cards.

The Old Schoolhouse is a renovated 1917 school building packed with unique consignment shops including the Christmas Room and Art Studio, containing the work of over 500 artists. Great River Gallery is an artist's cooperative featuring eclectic displays of fine art. The cooperative show original fine art by local artist, with frequent show and new works. Mustard Seed Garden & Gifts has display gardens.

A number of antique stores are located in the Bemidji area.
