There’s something for everyone during this 6 day family-friendly event! Food, games, rides, parades, music, and fireworks –the Jaycee’s Water Carnival has it all. Events will be held at the Paul Bunyan Park and Sanford Center. Medallion Hunt begins on June 26th. Water Carnival Medallion Buttons available at Marketplace Foods & Subway. The Leech Lake Memorial Pow Wow held May 26th to the 28th at the Veteran’s Memorial Grounds at Palace Casino is an annual area event. It is an opportunity to see and learn more about the Ojibwe Nation Native American traditions, culture and dance, with old style jingle and mens grass dance featured. To learn more.

Minnesota ‘s oldest professional summer stock company, in its 67th season, draws actors from across the country. Playing this week, Sherlock Holmes is on the case and he and Watson must brave the desolate moors before a family curse dooms its newest heir in this murderously comic adventure. Musical group “Unpolished” performs an eclectic mix of roots, Americana and Bluegrass music on Bass, Guitar, Mandolin and Banjo complete with rich three-part harmonies. The group covers many styles of folk music including music from the 1800’s – Civil War, old cowboy music, railroad songs, bluegrass music, and traditional Gospel music. Click here for details.
